As part of its DE&I promotion, Science Tokyo provides sanitary pads in some of the campus toilets for those who need them.

Locations

Sanitary pads are available in the following toilets on the Ookayama, Yokohama and Tamachi campuses. The information is also available via the “Institute of Science Tokyo Accessibility Information” website.

We are mainly deploying them in facilities used by bachelor course students who are not affiliated with laboratories, as well as in toilets near lecture rooms. The following list also includes locations that have already been previously implemented by departments and other organizations. In addition to the toilets mentioned above, sanitary pads are available in some women’s resting rooms.
